A Fraport anunciou um investimento inicial de R$600 milhões no aeroporto de Fortaleza em 2018. A empresa alemã detém a concessão do Aeroporto Pinto Martins e, de acordo com a chefe-executiva da empresa no Brasil, Andreea Pal, as prioridades serão a ampliação e melhoria na pista de pouso e decolagem e melhorias nos serviços de wi-fi, banheiros e iluminação.
A empresa deve assumir a gerência do Pinto Martins definitivamente em 2018 e tem como principal meta duplicar o número de passageiros do aeroporto, preparando a estrutura com a ampliação do terminal, além de construir oito pontes de embarque, novos portões de acesso ao aeroporto e melhorias nas vias de entrada.
De acordo com os representantes da empresa, será investido um total de R$ 2 bilhões, um valor que ultrapassa R$700 milhões do que foi exigido pelo Governo Federal para assumir a concessão do aeroporto.[:en]Fraport announced an initial investment of R$ 600 million at the Fortaleza airport in 2018. According to the company’s representatives, a total of R$ 2 billion will be invested, a value that exceeds R$ 700 million of what was required by the Federal Government to assume the concession of the airport.
